"What does it take to be a 100% AMERICAN MADE company?
In this video, I introduce one of the machines I am using to bring back MADE IN AMERICA in my industry!
A while ago, I faced a tough call. My business was growing!
Do I buy thousands of buckles, screws, and d-rings from an overseas supplier for pennies? No hassle, no risk, just a quick order?!?
Or
Do I find a way to build my own here in the greatest country on Earth?
Well, The Foreign, Cheaper, Faster, More Convenient, POOR Quality OPTION didn’t sit right with me
So I committed to the LONG game and found a way to get back in the FIGHT by:
Keeping, creating, and repurposing the jobs, skills, trades, and machines that I believe are important to preserving opportunity for future generations
Figuring that out was NOT easy, It was actually one of the hardest and most expensive things I have ever done in my life! People said I was nuts
But hear me out:
I could NOT afford the 5-axis CNC machines
I could NOT convince investors of the soaring potential of Macks Belts
I could NOT even give away equity in a Shark Tank audition
I could go on and on. About the "could nots" and the challenges I faced that constantly pointed me towards a path of least resistance
But I kept hammering towards THE WAY that would give my customers the BEST quality.
A direction that was BEST for the country I served.. and that my brothers sacrificed for
Guess what?
It just so happens that those great machines from our manufacturing past...
The one I'm standing next to in this video
The ones made in the U.S.A. that got us through two world wars
The ones built decades ago by the greatest generations!
Are on eBay for practically scrap prices. They cant even give them away!!!!
So I put them back to work
But that's not all.. Behind every belt:
There are steelworkers in Ohio. Truck drivers hauling that material cross-country, and countless small businesses!
Every dollar I spent on Made in the U.S.A. was a building block that fueled jobs, fed families, built futures, and preserved opportunities for the next generation!
That’s how I protect my idea of the AMERICAN DREAM, but I think there's more to it!
Most of the guys I see struggling — constantly searching for the next supplement, self-help book, or fad
Are the same ones glued to their phones, sitting indoors for 15 hours a day behind a desk
I don’t think another PILL or book cures the PURPOSE dilemma... But I think real WORK can!
Because men need meaning, sunlight, sweat, and a movement to FIGHT for:
Well.. How about Made in America?
That takes me to my next point:
I BELIEVE as a country If we can inspire people to embrace the life of blue jeans, steel toes, hard hats — building, designing, or turning wrenches — could help a lot of folks who are SEARCHING
Say YES to Made in the U.S.A.
